A Municipal Rural Development Programme (PCDR) is a strategic document drawn up in close collaboration with the local population and submitted for approval by the Walloon Government.
It consists of a coordinated set of development, planning and redevelopment actions undertaken or carried out in rural areas by a Municipality, in keeping with its own character, so as to improve the living conditions of its residents from an economic, social and cultural standpoint.
GREOVA has progressively established itself as a programme author and support body for the development of PCDRs (Rural Development Programmes). The programme author's role involves carrying out the socio-economic study and finalising the PCDR document, while the support body assists municipalities in facilitating citizen consultation. Since 2003, GREOVA has contributed to the development of the PCDRs of Aywaille, Sprimont, Stoumont, Esneux, Hamoir, Ouffet, Ferrières and Trooz.
